09/09/05 - Two men stabbed after argument

TWO men were stabbed in Market Deeping in the early hours of Sunday.
Armed officers went to Black Prince Avenue after an argument outside a pub resulted in a 45-year-old man being stabbed in the arm and a 42-year-old man injuring his hands.
Police carried out a search of the area and four men were taken into custody for questioning.
Another man was arrested later. All five have been released on police bail pending further inquiries.
The two injured men were taken to hospital and allowed home after treatment.
Chief Insp Kieran English said: "Officers responded and dealt with the incident appropriately and at no time were other members of the public at risk.
"Our inquiries continue into this incident."
Insp Andy McManus said there would be an increased police presence in the town to reassure people.
"Patrol officers will be regularly visiting the local pubs to ensure that there is no violence or other problems," he said.
