Dear Bernard,
For the last two years you have very generously gifted
the Christmas Trees on your land to Bisbrooke Church,
this has enabled us to raise over £1200.00 which
helped greatly towards the £8,000.00 we needed to
repair the roof, If we had had a little more notice last
year we could have advertised the availability of the
trees in our Parish Magazine and the local newspaper which
I am sure would have enabled us to sell considerably more
of them.
I enclose a stamped self addressed envelope for your reply,
We would be most grateful if you could confirm that the
remaining trees will once again be available for the Church
to sell to the public and any income will be ours to do
with as we think fit.
Your generous gesture over the last two years was very
much appreciated by all concerned, We gave each of the
other Churches in our six (Seven from October 1st) Church
Benefice a "Free" tree with your compliments
which obviously saved them considerable expense also.
I thought that you would also be interested to know that
as from October 1st we have a new Vicar-in-Charge, taking
over our benefice! She is the Reverend Jane Baxter. Although
Late September would seem a little early, the members
of Bisbrooke PCC would like to thank you once again
for your generosity and extend our best wishes to you
and your family for a Happy and prosperous Christmas.
Yours sincerely
John G. Price (Churchwarden) |
