Statement of: Helen Broomfield
Age if under 18: Over 18 (if over 18 insert 'over 18')
Occupation: Policewoman

This statement (consisting of pages each signed by me) is true to the best of my knowledge and belief and I make it knowing that, if it is tendered in evidence, I shall be liable to prosecution if I have wilfully stated anything in it, which I know to be false or do not believe to be true.

Date: 26/10/03

I am a policewoman with Lincolnshire Police.

At 12.48am on Saturday 30th August 2003 as a result of information received I attended The Old Coach House at Market Deeping together with PC POSTANCE. There I saw PC CAPP and PC DONALDSON who had detained a male and eventually placed him in the rear of their police car.

I remained at the scene and at one stage went inside and spoke to another male who was holding something to his face as if he were injured. I informed him the ambulance was delayed.

PC POSTANCE and I left but returned later and PC POSTANCE went inside to collect some glass. PC POSTANCE then informed me that the glass had been cleared away and was in the bottle bank.
