Anthony and Chris Donnelly, sons of infamous Manchester villain Arthur, were the men who brought about the birth of the Madchester music phenomenon. They organised all of the illegal after club parties and opened the famous Parliament nightclub. This venue attracted Manchester `finest` villains from all over the City flocked to be seen rubbing shoulders with celebrities there.
The police grew concerned about the `type of clientèle` the club attracted but all efforts to revoke the licence failed. That was until the Donnellys were arrested, charged and put on remand as Cat A prisoners. After 11 months without the Donnellys at the helm the club went into decline.
The Donnellys had all charges dropped and were released only to find their once successful club was no more. The brothers dusted themselves down and started up a new business. They now run of the UK`s most successful and fashionable clothing labels.
