Billy McPhee was Tam `the Licensee's ` brutal gangland enforcer. Two days after the photographs were taken of Billy for this book he was in a family pub surrounded by diners. A man walked up to Billy and proceeded to stab him more than twenty times in a frenzied knife attack. When Billy was dead the man strolled out of the pub and climbed into an awaiting car. Mark Clinton (also featured in faces) was charged with the murder but was acquitted at trial.
