Phil Lynott lead singer with rock band Thin Lizzy wrote the song Johnny the Fox meets Jimmy the Weed as a tribute to Manchester Quality Street Gang member Jimmy Donnelly who carried out some of the most daring robberies during the 70's and 80's that the city has ever known.
