On July 30, 2007 McGraw had a heart attack in his Mount Vernon home. Paramedics tried to resuscitate him and he was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary but was found to be dead on arrival. McGraw was labeled the richest gangster in Scotland, and one of the richest in Britain.
