09/04/02 - Get Klan bully out of here
The Mirror

NEIGHBOURS of convicted Ku Klux Klan man Alan Beshella said yesterday: "We don't want him back."

Beshella, 52, is due to be freed from prison later this week after serving half his three-month sentence for harassing an Asian family.

He is planning to return to his home in Maesteg, south Wales, but locals want him to stay away.

A demonstration will be held in the town next week in support of his victims - shopkeeper Mohammad Nawaz and his family.

Jeff Hurford of the Bridgend Coalition Against Racism said: "It's wrong a community is tainted because it has the misfortune to have Beshella living there."

Beshella was a former Grand Dragon with the Ku Klux Klan in America before moving to Wales.

He was jailed by Bridgend magistrates in February for visiting Mr Nawaz's shop in Maesteg and questioning him about the September 11 attacks.
