The Third Way (3W) was formed on March 17, 1990. The registered
leader of the Party is David Kerr. It is administered
by an Executive Council of four. Patrick Harrington is
a member of this Executive.
Third Way publishes Third Way, Counter Culture, Mother
Earth, Liverpool Newsletter and Ulster Nation. The Organisation
runs two main websites: www.thirdway.org
and www.altculture.org.
In addition, through Third Way Publications Ltd., the
Organisation publishes pamphlets and books on political
topics.
Third Way has no publication called Greenwave.
Third Way advocates a Swiss style direct democracy, co-operative
economics and a move to a more sustainable ecological
system. It maintains a wide range of political contacts
and engages in debate and dialogue across the political
spectrum. Membership is open to any person regardless
of ethnic, religious or political background who supports
the aims of the Organisation. Third Way is a party of
the Radical Centre.
The Third Way is committed to the democratic process and
condemns any form of terrorism. 3W has contested elections
at local, national and European level. The Organisation
has contributed to consultations by the Electoral Commission
on changes aimed at improving involvement in and understanding
of the political process.
Specifically, 3W has made recommendations on the allocation
of Party broadcasts, the nomination process for candidates
and ballot paper design. Third Way advocates reform of
our electoral system aimed at giving power back to the
people and breaking the stranglehold of the tired, old
establishment parties.
On a personal note Mr. Harrington wishes to make it clear
that he has no contact with Roberto Fiore or Massimo Morsello.
The Guardian newspaper made this allegation but later
accepted that there was no evidence to support the assertion
and published an agreed correction. |
