A POLICEMAN handed over a confidential report
and picture of a child killer to the press in return for
cash, a jury heard yesterday.
Det Con David Gardner, 34, of Colwyn Bay, north Wales,
is accused of passing on Howard Hughes' details before
he was found guilty of the murder of Sophie Hook, seven,
in 1996.
He denies corruption at Preston crown court.
