- Sarah Payne parents give message of support
The mother of murdered schoolgirl Sarah Payne has offered
a message of support to the families of two missing Cambridgeshire
girls.
Sara Payne says the parents of Holly Wells and Jessica
Chapman must not give up hope yet as it is still early
days in the search. Police say the two 10-year-olds were
last seen at 6.30pm on Sunday walking along the main street
towards the centre of Soham.
Mrs Payne told The Sun: "I know exactly how these
poor parents feel. It is agony, it doesn't get any easier
- but they must not give up hope.
"It is still very early days and they should continue
with the search. The police seem to be doing a very productive
job."
Detectives are scanning closed-circuit television footage
taken in the centre of Soham for possible sightings of
the girls or potential witnesses.
Police fear the pair may have been abducted, but Superintendent
Simon Edens, who is leading the search, says he hasn't
given up hope of finding the girls alive. |
