THE social worker at the centre of the Victoria Climbie
murder case was developing a psychotic illness at the
time, an inquiry heard yesterday.
Carole Baptiste, 39, also had severe depression when
she failed to properly manage eight-year- old Victoria's
file.
Her own daughter was taken into care while she worked
on Victoria' s case for Haringey council in North London.
A psychiatrist's report said: "Her capacity to take
decisions would have been impaired." Victoria was
murdered by her great aunt and boyfriend. |
