The People
POLICE were last night closing in on the sick hoaxer who
posed as the Yorkshire Ripper.
The crank sent them tapes and letters containing details
about Joan Harrison's murder near Preston, Lancs, in 1975.
The suspect now lives in a London hostel for the homeless.
Ripper Peter Sutcliffe, serving life in Broadmoor for
13 murders, described the hoax as "divine intervention"
which left him free to carry on killing. |
