??/??/?? - TV bid for gang killers

POLICE are to help stage a reconstruction of the gruesome killings of three Essex drug dealers today. Officers are to join with film makers to re-live the fatal moments that villains Tony Tucker, Patrick Tate and Craig Rolfe lost their lives at the hands of a gunman.

The trio were shot at close range in a quiet lane off the A130 in Rettendon on December 6. Police are hoping the reconstruction, filmed for LWT's Crime Monthly programme, will help bring forward vital new witnesses in the murder hunt.

One part of the reconstruction will involve the discovery of the bodies in a Range Rover by a farmer and his friend in Workhouse Lane, Rettendon. Film crews will then reconstruct the shootings themselves.

Police will man their incident room until 1am on Saturday in the hope of unravelling fresh evidence after the programme, due to go out at 10.30pm on LWT on Friday.
