At 0825 hours on Thursday 071295 I was on duty when as a result of information received I attended an unmade farm access track situated on the A130, between White House Farm and Rettendon Hall, Rettendon.

The track is on the Rayleigh bound track approximately half mile south of Hoe Lane, Rettendon. On arrival I liaised with PS580 ATKINS who informed me that there was a blue Range Rover containing 3 males, all of whom had been shot at the end of the track.

I walked along the track to the point where there are gated field entrances left and right of the track. Approximately 75 yards further along the track I could see the blue Range Rover stationary in front of a field entrance which was gated, the gate being shut.

I walked no further towards the vehicle than this point. Together with PS ATKINS I cordoned off the track. I then remained at this point in order to preserve the scene.

I saw PC2508 KNIGHTS, standing closer to the vehicle, also preserving the scene. I was relieved from this point at 1310 hours the same day. I then returned to the R.V.P. at White House Farm.
