I reside at the address overleaf. On Wednesday 061295 I was babysitting at 6 East Hanningfield Road, Rettendon, Essex. The premises is a new 3 bedroomed property which backs onto Pound Farm. From the ground floor back room there is a view through large patio windows onto the farm land and farm buildings.

At this time it was very dark outside and the curtains were not closed. At about 2200 hours I noticed an estate type vehicle drive along the track towards the farm buildings from the entrance of East Hanningfield Road.

I didn't take much notice of the vehicle or its occupants, although I can be fairly sure that it was an E registration. I mainly noticed the lights of the vehicle because of the darkness of the track.

This was the only vehicle I noticed whilst at the premises. I did not hear or see anything else. I left the premises at about 0045 hours the following morning when the occupants came home.
