I am a Police Constable in the Staffordshire Police Service
currently stationed at Burton on Trent. Between 1O3O hrs and
1115 hrs on Thursday 160596 I was on plain clothes duty when
in the company of other officers I attended *****, Yoxall.
Burton.
Upon arrival at the address other officers were already inside,
also present was a woman I now know to be Sarah DARLASTON.
A search of the address was conducted during which I acted
as exhibits officer. I was subsequently handed seized property
which I recorded contemporaneously on form P6.
Which I can produce as an exhibit ref. GT1 (exhibit no. ).
I later booked the exhibits into the Property Store at Burton
Police Station, ref. no. 347751. At about 1050 hrs during
the search of DARLASTON's bedroom, the telephone rang, which
DARLASTON answered using the extension in her bedroom.
I heard her speak to the caller saying, "They are taking
me away". DC HUNT then disconnected the call. He said
to DARLASTON, "Who was that?" She replied. "Tracey."
DC HUNT said, "Tracey who?" She replied, "ROULSTONE."
DC HUNT said. "Where's she from?" She replied, "St
Johns Road."
DC HUNT then conducted an 1471 BT enquiry and I heard him
relate the telephone no. 01543 *******. DARLASTON was then
conveyed to Burton Police Station. At 1600 hrs the same day
at Burton Police Station I handed all the exhibits to Sgt
LOTE.
