About 1715 hours on Tuesday the 191295, I was on duty in the Information Room at Essex Police Headquarters when I made a recording on the Racal Multi-track machine situated therein.

The recording was of a 999 call which came in at an indicated time of 1949 hrs on tape channel 7 on the 081295 and was made onto a brand new Fuji C90 audio cassette bearing the identification mark AT1130.

At 1750 hours that same day upon my return to the Technical Support Unit office in headquarters I allocated the master tape AT1130 the audio evidential reference number F2133/95 and after making a working copy of the master tape F2133/95 (AT1130)

I placed it in the secure tape laboratory evidence store. I then forwarded the working copy of the tape to the officer in the case. I can produce the master tape F2133/95 (AT1130) if required (Exhibit JLP/1).
