I live along Main Road, Rettendon with my husband Mark and family. I have lived in the area since 190995 and during this time I have become aware of farmers shooting in the fields nearby.

Recently Police attended my home making enquiries about a murder enquiry which I understood to mean about a group of people shot in a vehicle in a lane on the opposite side of the Main Road near to my house.

The Police called on Thursday 081200 and I informed them I did hear shots being fired late one night that week. I recall that I had heard these shots either Monday 040000 or Tuesday 051295 after 2100 hours but before 2300 hours.

I know it was not Wednesday 060000 or any later as on Wednesday my husband and I had gone out for the evening. We had been out all night and returned about 0100 hours on Thursday 071200. About 0115 hours I took the dog for a walk with my husband and we walked along the Main Road towards the direction of the Rettendon Turnpike.

We did pass the alleyway that police later cordoned off where I understand the shooting took place. Although we did look down the path as we don't know it was there we didn't walk down it nor did I hear or see anything. We both continued to walk the dog along the Main Road and returned home about 0200 hours again passing the path just before 0200 hours.

At this time we still did not see or hear anything. At the time of walking the dog I was wearing jeans, a multi coloured three quarter length jacket and I was wearing a black leather hat with leopard skin fur. My husband was wearing jeans, a dark green jacket and he also wore a sheepskin style hat.
