25/03/02 - O'Mahoney reply to letter from Essex Police
in reference to the removal of the Crime Scene Photos
Re Your letter dated 25th March 2002.
Dear Sir,
The photographs, as requested have been removed, but
may I point out these photographs are available on more
than one site on the internet and have been for approximately
three years Further.
I fail to see how ANYTHING I could do would 'damage
the reputation of Essex police and undermine public
confidence and trust in the service' Public confidence
in the service is already at an all time low and the
reputation of the service is equally damaged following
the sham 'investigation' into Wolfgang and Bird, two
Essex Police officers who were on full pay for five
years, investigated behind closed doors by their 'own'
and then given a cash pay off.
It may be worth your while putting as much effort into
removing child pornography from the internet or removing
photographs of Kevin Whittaker, the man two of the deceased
murdered from newspapers.
Equally, you could ask the parents of Kevin Jones, Andreas
Bouzis and Leah Betts, how they feel about seeing their
teenage kids faces splashed across newspapers next to
the three men who were responsible for supplying the
ecstasy that killed them.
The Rettendon 'victims' were not three Saints martyred
by the Church; they were drug-dealing murderers who
many young Essex criminals aspire to copy, Perhaps if
these impressionable thugs could see the reality of
gangsterism they may think again.
Whatever the photographs have now been removed.
Thank You
Bernard O'Mahoney
