On Thursday 071295 I was on duty when I went in company with
other officers to 49 Gordon Road, Pitsea, Essex. These premises
were the home address of Mr Patrick TATE. Between 1530 hours
and 1855 hours that same day I conducted a search of the premises.
Whilst searching a waxed jacket which was in the wardrobe
of the main bedroom I found the following property:
(i) six hundred and sixty pounds made up of twenty pound Bank
of England bank notes (Exhibit Reference P.J.B/1).
(ii) A plastic bag containing six thousand pounds. This was
made up of five thousand pounds in twenty pound Bank of England
bank notes and one thousand pounds in fifty pound Bank of
England bank notes (Exhibit Reference P.J.B/2).
(iii) Five hundred pounds made up of fifty pound Bank of England
bank notes (Exhibit Reference P.J.B/3). From the top of a
cupboard in the kitchen I found a bag containing pink coloured
tablets (Exhibit Reference PJB/4) and a box of drugs marked
'VIRORMONE' (Exhibit Reference P.J.B/5).
I took possession of the above listed items and handed them
to DC 543 MAYO who was performing the duty of exhibits officer
at the premises.
