25/07/92 - A kiss of death at wedding
Daily Express

WEDDING guest Michelle Taylor gave bride Alison Shaughnessy a peck on the cheek for "good luck". It was to be the kiss of death.

Eleven months later Michelle, who was pictured among guests at the couple's church in Piltown, County Kilkenny, stabbed her love rival 54 times. Michelle and her hard-faced sister Lisa put on an incredible act after the killing, attending memorial services for Alison and lying to the police.

Yesterday a boyfriend revealed Michelle's violent streak. "I have never known a woman who was so dedicated to the martial arts," said nurse Tim Lancaster, 29.

"She could look after herself. She told me she had a ceremonial sword and a dagger at her flat but I never saw them. I suppose they could have been used in a murder." Of her relationship with Alison's husband John, he said.

"I quite liked her but I had a feeling she was still having an affair with John. She was infatuated with him."
