BETWEEN:-
(1) MICHELLE TAYLOR
(2) LISA BUCK (NEE TAYLOR)

Plaintiffs

and

PATRICK BERNARD O'MAHONEY (AKA BERNARD PATRICK O'MAHONEY, PATRICK LAWSON AND BERNARD KING)

Defendant

I, Mari Hunter of 4 Marylebone High Street, London Wl, process server acting under the direction of Stephens Innocent of 21 New Fetter Lane, London EC4, solicitors for the above named Plaintiffs, make oath and say as follows:-

1.
That being directed to effect personal service of a true copy of the Writ of Summons in this action together with Acknowledgement of Service, Notice of Motion dated the 6th day of June 1995 returnable on the 12th day of June 1995 and a copy of the Affidavit of Michelle Taylor sworn on the 6th day of June 1995 with copies of six exhibits referred to therein, upon Patrick Bernard O'Mahoney (aka Bernard Patrick O'Mahoney, Patrick Lawson and Bernard King), the above named Defendant, I attended at 8.15 pm on the evening of Tuesday the 6th day of June 1995 at 24 Curling Tye, Fryerns, Basildon, Essex.

No reply could be obtained from the property and I interviewed an adult male neighbour at 24a Curling Tye, Fryerns, Basildon, Essex. I was advised by the neighbour that he had not seen the Defendant at the address for some time. I interviewed other neighbours but was unable to obtain any useful information. 1 also searched for the Defendant's motor vehicle which I was informed is a blue Ford Granada, registration number F310 RYE. I could not locate this motor vehicle in the local area. I also searched for a further motor vehicle being a blue Ford Escort registration number M524 TOO.

This motor vehicle was parked opposite the Defendant's address. I returned to the address at 9.00 pm, at 9.30 pm and again at 10.00 pm when I met with an adult female who advised me that Patrick Bernard O'Mahoney no longer lives there. My informant advised me that she might see O'Mahoney the following week and that she could give him a message. My informant would not disclose her identity and stated that she did not know where Patrick Bernard O'Mahoney is currently living.

2.
I then attended at Raquels Nightclub, 23 Market Pavement, Basildon, Essex later that evening where I am informed that Patrick Bernard O'Mahoney works. The nightclub was found to be closed and I was unable obtain any information. I therefore attended at the Basildon Police Station but the Defendant's file could not be located on the computer system. I was advised that the only person registered on the voters register at 24 Curling Tye, Fryems, Basildon, Essex is a Deborah King.

3. Being informed that the Defendant's alternative address is a flat at 30 Cowden Street, Bellingham, London SE6 I telephoned to the address on telephone number 0181 698 2233. I am advised that this is the address from which the Defendant runs a security business titled Total Security but I found the telephone number unobtainable. Being provided with an alternative telephone number as 0181 697 7011 I rang this number but could not gain a reply.

4.
On the morning of Wednesday the 7th day of June 1995 I again telephoned 0181 697 7011 and learnt that the number pertains to Courts Furniture Store. I interviewed an employee of the furniture store who advised me that the names O'Mahoney, Lawson or King was unknown to him. I then returned to the address of 24 Curling Tye, Fryerns, Basildon, Essex and met with the same adult female met the previous evening who again denied that Patrick Bernard O'Mahoney lives at the address. Parked outside the property was only one motor vehicle, being the blue Ford Escort registration number M524 TOO.

I searched in the local vicinity but could not locate the other motor vehicle, the Ford Granada registration number F310 RYE. I then returned to the Basildon Police Station where I was informed that Patrick Bernard O'Mahoney had not been seen by them for some days. I was advised by the Basildon Police that the last known address that they have for Patrick Bernard O'Mahoney is 30 Cowden Street, London SE6. I was also advised that the Defendant would be working Raquels Nightclub on Friday the 9th day of June 1995 and on Saturday the 10th day of June 1995.
