Further to my statement dated 240791 I would like to add
that just after JJ had phoned a cab for me, my little sister
Tracey phoned me on the extension phone outside JJ's room.
She asked me when I was coming home. I have been asked about
scars or marks on both my face and Michelle's face.
I have two faint scars on the left side of my face. These
were caused by sleeping with my rings on. This happened
about 2 years ago, I had a ring with a stone in it. The
stone was held in by small catches, one of which was sticking
up, and during the night I scratched myself. I scar very
easily.
The marks on Michelle's face are both to the side of her
mouth. One of these marks was from a Ju-Jitsu class when
they were doing weapon defence, and the other was when she
knocked her head on a sideboard at the side of her bed when
she was getting up one morning. We used to get quite a few
bruises and scratches from these classes.
I have been asked about the use of weapons at these Ju-Jitsu
classes. The only weapons as such are wooden and the movements
with these are made into the air and not towards any person.
The only weapons I have at home are the wooden sword known
as a 'bochan' and a 'nightstick' type baton called a "Tonfa".
I did Ju-Jitsu for just less than four years and managed
to attain a 'blue belt'. We did use a small dagger type
knife called a 'Sae' which is a metal knife with a pronged
handle and is used for defence against a Samari Sword. I
have been shown a letter which Alison was in the processing
of writing to a relative in Ireland called EDEL and I do
not understand why Alison would have been writing in that
way about Michelle.
As far as I knew they were good friends, all three of them,
that is John, Alison and Michelle. I have been asked about
boyfriends that Michelle has had, I know of only four, One
was called Andy who was a student at the Judo Club in Croydon.
She went out with him for quite a few months.
This was about 1 1/2 years ago. There was a bloke called
Shane COLE who was the brother of Brian JACKS. This was
when I had the Saturday job in the Muscle and Fitness Pro
Shop. There was a bloke called John EDWARDS who was also
a student at the Judo Club in Croydon and she had a very
brief relationship with Tim LANCASTER who works at the Churchill
Clinic.
This did not last long as she said all he wanted was to
get her into bed. She told the whole family this and said
that he used to get drunk as well. I have been asked about
a black cotton jacket of mine which was in Michelle's car
which was blood stained. This jacket has reindeers on the
side of it.
I received a cut on my upper left arm whilst playing with
our dog and the cut scabbed over, I picked it and got blood
on my jacket. The blue overalls in the car are Michelle's
which she has only worn once. I would describe our family
as a close family where any one of us can readily discuss
our problems with any one else in the family, and I would
say that we don't keep secrets from each other.
