DS G
Much obliged. There are no other persons present in this interview Today is Wednesday 7th August 1991 and the time by my watch is 10.41am. We are in the interview room at Battersea Police Station At the end of this interview, I will give a notice that will explain the procedures for dealing with this tape recording and how you can have access to it. I shall now caution you Miss TAYLOR that means you are not obliged to say anything unless you wish to do so, but what you say may be given in evidence. Do you understand the caution?

LT
Yes.

DS G
L Now the, before I say any more, I must state on tape that the interview has been delayed due to the fact that I was getting refreshments prior to the interview commencing. Also prior to the interview starting, uh, Mr HOLMES informed me on your behalf, Miss TAYLOR, that since making a statement previously to police, you don't wish to answer any questions during the course of this interview. Is that correct?

LT
Yes.

DS G
L Okay. Before I go any further actually, the officer here, Miss SMITH, the arresting officer this morning, made some notes with regard to your arrest at your home address, and she'd like you to read those notes and to obviously sign them as being correct if you agree with the content. Can you do that now whilst the tape is running please?

MH
We'll do it together.

DS G
L Okay.

MH
Um, does it start on this page, number 10?

WDC S
At the top. The top there, that's the notes where I made them, and the details there.

There, right, right. Can you read that? Let's read it together. That's the Act of Parliament under which the warrant of your arrest was granted. That's what that means. Okay?

Finished the page?

LT
Yes.

MH
Not too much more.

LT
Right.

MH
You've finished?

LT
Yeah.

MH
Now what you're being invited to do by Mr GLEESON is having read that through, if you agree that that is an accurate record of what took place, to sign it if you wish. It is entirely a matter for you. First of all, is it accurate?

LT
No.

MH
You're shaking your head no.

LT
No.

MH
Well in that case uh, I think it's fairly indicative tht she's not going to sign.

DS G
L Indeed? Fair enough. But obviously you've had the offer of reading them haven't you?

MH
Yes.

LT
Yeah.
