Page 01 02

DC S
'This is a game I'm playing with him. I just hope it doesn't back fire on me.'

DS G
What did you mean by that?

MT
No comment.

DS G
Do those little bits on those couple of pages shows a little bit of cunning on your behalf I think, a little bit of deceit, little bit of deviousness there? Would you agree with that?

MT
No comment.

DS G
Page 35.

DC S
It's just the next page. Sunday 4th October, 14th October.

DS G
'I went for a drink with John and Alison who held hands. Alison went to the toilet. John said, "You and Alison don't speak." You got that bit? Can you signify yes or no 'cos I

MT
Yes.

DS G
You found it yeah? 'He was right, we don't.' What's that signify to you?

MT
No comment.

DS G
It gives the impression that you and her didn't get on at all. And you made a note of it that you didn't get on. Is that right?

MT
No comment.

DS G
Page 36. I think it's near the bottom of the page. 'Messing with Alison, but you gave him a dirty look.'

DC S
Yes it's there.

DS G
Near the end of the page. You were watching the Omen film, Omen III film or something?

MT
Yeah.

DS G
You found that bit?

MT
Yeah.

DS G
Now why write something like that in there? That he was messing about with Alison and you gave him a dirty look?

MT
No comment.

DS G
A little bit of mild horseplay with his wife, everybody does. And you gave him a dirty look and he stopped. So even in the situation with his wife, you were controlling their relationship, weren't you?

MT
No comment.

DS G
Page 40.

DC S
I think that's about 5 pages on. That bit there.

DS G
'Made love and stayed the night.' You found it?

MT
Yeah.

DS G
'Made love and stayed the night.' That was you fulfilled, that's what you wanted wasn't it? You just wanted him to stay the night to hold him?

MT
No comment.

DS G
But you didn't like it when you made love and he couldn't get out of your bed quick enough?

MT
No comment.

DS G
Page 41. 'Next day found John and Alison in bed.' Have you found that bit?

MT
Yeah.

DS G
And at the end, 'I'm crying right now.' Why did you write that?

MT
No comment.

DS G
It wasn't very nice for you finding John and Alison in bed.

MT
No comment.

DS G
You were obviously upset about it. That's why you wrote it. Jealous, is that right?

MT
No comment.

DC S
Would hurt be a better word? As opposed to jealous?

MT
No comment.

DS G
Page 58.

DC S
'John rang me, John rang me at 11' at the top. 58?

DS G
Yeah. Last paragraph, 'I listened to John singing Happy Birthday to Alison, and heard him tell her he loved her and asked her if she loved him.' Did you read that?

MT
Yeah.

DS G
Read out the next three words under that.

PL
You don't have to.

DS G
Are you going to read them out? Can you signify except nodding your head?

MT
No.

DS G
It says, 'Sick, sick, sick.' What do you mean?

MT
No comment.

DS G
Then there's the words 'not Sure, and a little arrow. Why did you write that?

MT
No comment.

DS G
Is that a little note to yourself for you to take stock of the fact that John wasn't sure that Alison loved him?

MT
No comment.

DS G
And you might get some comfort out of that?

MT
No comment.

DS G
See it's very significant to me, those words 'sick, sick, sick.' Because when you heard that I would suggest to you that you were totally distraught and gutted by what you'd just heard. That upset you greatly.

MT
No comment.

DS G
Page 61 please.

DC S
Uh, I need to know which way we're going. 'He kissed me goodbye.'

DS G
You added 'kissed me goodbye,' and there's a list.' That's a list of what John bought Alison for her birthday, why would you keep a note of that?

MT
No comment.

DS G
Um? 'Cos he never bought you anything", you'd cause to think something could be wrong because what he'd bought for Alison and he buys you nothing? You'd a little note of what he'd bought. Is that right?

MT
No comment.

DS G
Page 67 please.

DC S
The one dated 12th November.

DS G
Got the page?

MT
Yes.

DC S
It reads, 'got loads of presents,'

DS G
The second, second part of it.

DS G
'He didn't buy me anything from himself. That showed me something. That showed me something.' What did it show you?

MT
No comment.

DS G
Did it show you he didn't give a damn about you? He didn't care about you? Is that right?"

MT
No comment.

DS G
Page 68 please.

DC S
That's the next page.

DS G
I think it goes over to the next page as well, I don't want to take it out of context. 'Made love and left.' Probably is on the next page. 'Made some excuse.'

DC S
Sorry,

DS G
'Gave me a lot of crap. Couldn't get to sleep.' Have you found that on the next page?

MT
Yes.

DS G
You didn't like It when that happened, when he left, did you?

MT
No comment.

DS G
Some feeble excuse that you didn't like. You couldn't get to sleep What were you thinking about, that you couldn't get to sleep?

MT
No comment.

DS G
Did you want him to stay?

MT
No comment.

DS G
73 the next page please.

DC S
18th November. DS 0 I think where it says, 'John in Ireland for 2 days and Natalie on the phone. Just goes to show.' Did you find that bit?

MT
Yeah.

DS G
Just goes to show what?

MT
No comment.

DS G
Do you know Natalie?

MT
No comment.

DS G
Natalie McGUINNESS is it?

MT
No comment.

DS G
Did you ever meet her?

MT
No comment.

DS G
Did you know John had a bit of a relationship with her?

MT
No comment.

DS G
That's what you thought, that he was seeing Natalie McGUINNESS in Ireland, that's why you wrote that is that right?

MT
No comment.

DS G
Page 76 please.

DC S
Now there's a word 'hospital. Me and Allson.'

DS G
'I don't think John loves me just cares about me.' Did you find that? Last line. Last paragraph, 'I don't think,'

MT
Yeah.

DS G
'This is my conclusion,' have you got that bit?

MT
Yes.

DS G
What do you mean by that, 'doesn't love me just cares about me?' What's your distinction between loving and caring?

MT
No comment.

DS G
Page 91 please.

DC S
91? 5th December, and your square box on the bottom of the page.

DC S
That's the one.

DS G
. I'm always the only one who apologises, why I don't know.' What's the word written on the bottom? ls that supposed to be bastard is it? Michelle?

MT
No comment.

DC S
Can I?

DS G
Sure, sure, if you've got something to ask.

DC S
I'll read over the whole page Michelle. Wednesday 5th December. 'Have a massive argue with John. He really annoys me. He can be so rude and nasty, and the only thing I can use against him is the past. I don't really like doing this to him, but it's the only ammo I have. And do you know, I'm always the only one who apologises.'

DC S
When you talk about the past, do you mean what he's, his relationship, and how he's used you, or do you talk about what's happened in the past between you and him?

MT
No comment.

DC S
I'm saying are you using that as a threat? If you don't do as I tell you or if don't behave yourself, I'm going to tell Alison about us. Is that what you're referring to?

MT
No comment.

DC S
'Cos when you read the whole page in the whole context, I'm just trying to make sense of it myself 'He can be so rude and the only thing I can use against him is the past.' Do you throw up the fact that he's having an affair with you to him?

MT
No comment.

DS G
I want to go back now to these two pages, page 47.

DC S
Thats right back.

DS G
These are out of context and data order but they're not out of context in the way they've been written here.

DC S
Wednesday 31st October.

DS G
Good. Halfway down the page, 'I hate Alison, the bitch, unwashed.' Found that?

MT
Yeah.

DS G
Why did you write that?

MT
No comment.

DS G
You wrote that 'cos you didn't like her, you hated her, that's right isn't it?

MT
No comment.

DS G
Page 49 please. Found it? 'You've been thinking about the about him. Wanted to end relationship.'

DC S
Got it. What does the top word say? Someone else?

MT
Yeah.

DC S
Yeah. Right if you go down to the page - there's the end of the paragraph, read 'that he,' yeah? Is that 'He said?'

MT
Yes.

DC S
Right, so we want 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 lines from the bottom yeah?

MT
Yeah.

DC S
Right, that's the paragraph we're talking about.

DS G
You read that?

MT
Yeah.

DS G
Getting near the end it sayd, 'Dream solution would be for Alison to disappear.'

DC S
'Disappear,' now you have to turn the page.

DS G
Have you got it? 'Dream solution would be for Alison to disappear as if she never existed.' It says, 'never exised,' but I think that means, it's a spelling mistake yeah? 'And then maybe I could give everything I want to the man I love.' Why did you write that in your diary?

MT
No comment.

DS G
'Cos that's how you did feel. You did want her out of the way. Is that right?

MT
No comment:

DS G
As far back as this date in last year, October some time, when you penned this,

DC S
October 31st.

DS G
you had set your sights on having Alison SHAUGHNESSY disappearing. That's the matter lsn.'t it?

MT
No comment.

DS G
I think those are Very significant points in your diary, shows exactly what you were thinking, shows exactly how you felt and shows how you summed up your relationship. And as far as I'm concerned, that's spot on how you felt. Feelings for John and your feelings for Alison, is that right?

MT
No comment.

DC S
That indication, that sound indicates that this tape is coming to an end. I am now going to turn this tape off and insert another two tapes, okay?
